Money – what comes to mind when you hear that word?
God supplies, so that we are enlarged, so that we are generous, so that God is thanked… and then God supplies…
That is my version of Paul says when he is writing to the Corinthian church about money.
As a community we realise that our faith is made stronger through giving and receiving together. We want to use Jesus’ example of generosity to those most in need, using our resources to bring measurable change in the world and continue to tell God’s story.
At Be The Church we do this through the idea of the Joy Box. The Joy Box is both the steel, rather plain box at our Sunday Sessions and the online Joy Box – that people use to give financially to the work of Be The Church. It’s about the generous attitude we have as we put something in the box – because we care about the joy brought to our community out of the box.
