Celebrating Jesus.

This year we will celebrate on Christmas Day at our usual meeting place at 9.30am.
We’ll be putting on some breakfast/brunch and there will be gifts for those that need a bit of help over this season.
We would love you to come and join us and feel free to invite anyone that you think might want to celebrate with us.

We’ll also be at the Christmas Carols at the Scarborough Amphitheatre on Sunday Dec 18.

In winter we ran Life In Full Colour.

Now it’s summer time and we are running Life On The Green.

It’s a way for us to bring church outside.

From Nov 2011 – Apr 2012 on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays of a month we put on this free community event from 12pm – 1.30pm at the northern end of Scarborough Beach Esplanade.

We put on lunch, family games, inflatables, face painting, a street library and more.

Would love to see you there!

We would love for you to come down and join us on September 18th from 10.30am.

We’ll be taking a look back at what God has done in our community over the last 12 months and what the next year looks like – and we’re sure there will be a few party games and party food there as well!

Starting on the 5th June we will be running a series called “Life in Full Colour.”

It’s a free community event to help you live life to the full.

Lunch will be provided at 12.30pm. Sessions start at 1.15pm at the Maureen Grierson Community Centre, The Esplanade, Scarborough – our new meeting place. A creche will be provided.

We’ll give you more details soon but the types of sessions will include:
- Sustainable Living
- Effective Parenting
- Making Time Count
- Building a Healthy Body
- Steps to Healthy Eating
- Budgeting Basics
- Community Jam

Church is also about people meeting together. We’ve been blessed over the last 6 months to be able to meet together at the White Sands Pub – but the time has come for us to move into the hub of Scarborough – the community God has called us to.

So from May 1st we will be meeting at the Maureen Grierson Community Centre at The Esplanade on Scarborough Beach. Same vision, same people, same community, different building – look forward to seeing you there.

If we follow His example it was a radical call to follow a man who spent time with the poor and the rich, sought justice for the oppressed and marginalised, loved His enemies, performed miracles, and gave up everything, including His own life, for others.

Paul said if you want to know what it looks like to be a follower of Jesus – “follow me as I follow Christ.”

So are we living a life that we would want others to follow?

Are we really making disciples?

Join us in March as we explore this idea of radical discipleship.

It will be held from 6pm Friday 6th May to 2pm Sunday 8th May 2011, at Camp Cooloongup in Baldivis.

It’s a chance to refocus on Jesus as the “One Thing” in your life.

It’s a chance to encounter God in a new way.

It’s open to anyone – so if you want to be equipped to know and serve God more – then let us know you are interested in coming and we’ll get you more details as soon as they become available.

“But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord.
